Pup-A-Go 5k, Open Forum Q&A w/ Megan Eckert, PhoMo 50k Winner's, and Chian Gang Turkey Trot.
Hello GhostHeader’s! We’re just a few weeks away from the inaugural Pup-A-Go 5k and we’re really excited, and hope you are too! If you have yet to sign up yet, there is still plenty of time. But if you can’t make it, there are still some more events coming up this month, but first, we should talk about the events from last month!
UPCOMING EVENTS:
December 12: Megan Eckert Open Forum Q&A
Join us at Sole Sports Arcadia for a casual 5–6 mile canal shakeout followed by a Q&A Session where we will learn more on how Megan preps, trains and mentally runs over 300 miles for 4 consecutive days on a 4-mile course for the Backyard Ultra Championship. Please RSVP to Strava Group page if you haven’t done so.
December 14: Pup-A-Go 5k
Just less than 2 weeks away from the annual event. Is your dog ready to toe the line and see what he/she’s got to get to the finish line. Haven’t signed up yet, then go to UltraSignup. Portions of the proceeds go to Home Fur Good no kill animal shelter.
Past Events:
November 9: PhoMo 50k
Thanks to all the participant’s, aid station and medic volunteers for making this inaugural event a success. We crowned our first ever Old Pueblo Golden Ticket winner Dan Kirk (5:09:11) and Shelby Heinz (6:56:12). Congrats to all who toed the line!
November 28: Chian Gang Turkey Trot
The 8th annual Chian Gang Turkey Trot drew over 50 runners/hikers for a fun run through the Phoenix Mountain Preserves. We were treated to Better Buzz Coffee and Bosa Donuts after the run. It was also the 2nd year that the run was hosted by Matt and Amy Schaenzer.
That’s all for this month. We’ll have more announcements to share about upcoming races and big events soon. Until then, stay on top of your fueling during the Holly Jolly Season!
