Pup-A-Go Free Entry Winner
And upcoming events for July
PUP-A-GUESS
Over this past weekend, GhostHead Productions had the opportunity to represent at the grand opening of REI in Glendale, AZ, alongside Ultra Performance PT’s Dr. Meghan Slavin. In addition to previewing some of our upcoming events and handing out swag, GhostHead held a “PUP-A-GUESS” (editor’s note: we came up with this clever name well after the actual contest was over) for a chance at a free entry into this December’s Pup-A-Go 5k. Contestants had to guess how many dog treats were in our Pup-A-Jar (editor’s note: also a post hoc coinage; where was our creativity beforehand?) and the right guess, or closest to it, won themselves a spot on the starting line in December.
Tian educating the public on all of GhostHead’s past and present events.
After two days of entries, we now have a winner. Congratulations to Judith Lukaszewski, with a guess of 92 dog treats. Judith now has a free entry into our inaugural Pup-A-Go 5k, where she’ll have the chance to walk or run in support of Home Fur Good Animal Rescue. Can’t wait to see you out there, Judith!
So how many dog treats were there in total? 93
ORD OF JULY
Need a break from the sweltering Phoenix heat? Then come join us this July 4th at Mt. Ord, just north of Sunflower, AZ. GhostHead Productions will host Ord of July, a 13-mile casual, fun-run on Mt. Ord. We’ll provide ice cold water at the end of the run and high fives. There will not be any aid on the route, so please carry enough water and nutrition to see you safely up and down the mountain. Bring a camp chair and hang out after before heading back to the Phoenix heat.
Parking is VERY limited at the trailhead, so meet at the Fry’s off of the 101 at 90th St. and Shea to carpool. If not, meet us at the trailhead, just north of Sunflower on the Beeline Highway. Hope to see you there!
TRAIL WORK DAY
Need volunteer hours or just want to help maintain our trails in the Phoenix Mountains Preserve? Then join us for our second Trail Work Event on July 13. Once again, we will be working with the City of Phoenix and the Park Ranger Trail Alliance to rake, move rocks and get the trails in tip-top shape for all the abuse it will surely see during the PhoMo50k. No experience is necessary. Bring gloves, water and sun protection.
Meet at the Ocotillo Trailhead at Piestewa Peak Park. Arrive 15 minutes early (5:15am) for a Safety Briefing and Waiver Signing.
